Sometimes a mans got to do what a mans got to do. The old farm house front porch was needing some TLC recently and Sam and Nate torn into that puppy.
I guess it wasn't too bad when you consider it was over 100 years old. I should look so good at that age.
Some planks had rotted out and so had to go, but, nothings ever easy. There's no such thing as a five minute job and sure as shootin' the floor boards weren't the only thing that had rotted.
So, after doing some digging for footings, dropping in some cinder blocks, adding 4 x 4 posts for bracing and a new 4 x 6 in the front, all was well again in Mudville.
Nice job men, nice job!
Next up: A coat of paint.
Ray is part of the Ray and Randi duo, who actually don't live on the farm. They have a micro-homestead in Gilmanton, but are VERY active over at IFP and are guest bloggers for them.
